Buoys were first founded in 1951. So lets just say the Moored Buoy has been around for awhile. Moored Buoys were a very helpful invention to the Hydrosphere. You may often see some ball like looking thing out in the Lake/Ocean. That is called a buoy. The Moored Buoy is used to mark a specific spot in the water. They are usually out to warn people out on the waters of shallow waters etc. They have been a very helpful tool used. Back in the days they didn't have buoys they would only have some little ball anchored in the ocean. That ball is what they would use to be aware of all the things happening in the Ocean. Now we have the helpful buoy. This invention has made a major impact on the studying of the Hydrosphere. You can get a buoy from any like beach wear store.  Also, there are several different types of Buoys, which you will learn about the other two in just a few! Ha ha that rhythms!
